Gryphaea , or devils’s toe nails are a fossil of extinct oysters, a marine bivalve mollusc. This one has a entourage of crinoid ossicles, little diamonds, so I have called the gryphaea Lucy.

Gryphaea mouth to beak 5 cm. Crinoids 0.5cm .

Matrix 10cm x 6cm x 4cm.
